Truth Be Told #24

Truth Be Told #24
We Are Thankful

Happy Turkey Day everyone!

We got lots of snow this Thanksgiving.  It has been awhile since we've had snow on Thanksgiving.

It is the time of year to think about what we've been thankful for.
Sam has been doing that in school.

Pretty much Sam is thankful for the same things that I am....
except for the fact that Sam does not have a brother.

No matter how nuts he drives me, I am thankful for my brother.

He loves playing with my phone.

Mother Eloise says we look a lot alike in these pictures.
I just don't see it.

I am thankful for my sister, too.

I am thankful for her friends, too.
They are sweet.

We did the pageant again this year.
I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to get them off the stage and out of the spotlight this year.

I think Natalie liked the pageant, too.
Look what she brought home from art class.
Do you see what I see?
Natalie is really getting good at art!

I can't wait to eat dinner at Aunt Karen's.  It is always good.

Have a nice Thanksgiving.

Truth Be Told #23

Truth Be Told #23
He Drives Me Crazy, But I Love Him

We have a four day weekend.
Thank you, Christopher Columbus.

The weekend started with a bang literally.
Something in the kitchen of my brother's elementary school blew up.
His school had to be evacuated to my school on Thursday afternoon.

Everyone was OK.  I was more afraid than Sam was because it was my class that had to evacuate the gym to make room for the little kids.  All the principal said was there was an emergency at Clark School and the kids were being brought here.  I could hear the sirens going up the street!  I was so worried.  I am glad no one is hurt and the school is fine.

My brother can be a major pain, but he can be lovable.

Most of the time.

Right now he's into body parts.  Whenever Mother Eloise asks him to pose for a picture he sticks his butt out.

He's also a little confused about body parts.  Sam can be rough and he likes to fist fight with me.  I pushed him back after he was pushing me and he fell backwards.  He didn't like that so he got up and yelled, "I am going to kick you in the nuts!"

There was just so much wrong with that, I didn't know what to do.  Later, Mother Eloise and Dad told him that girls don't have nuts, they have ovaries.  This is NOT going to be good.  I should warn his teacher.

I got to go to a football game on Friday.  It was a beautiful night but the score was not so beautiful.

On Saturday my friends and I made tulle skirts for Homecoming week.
The best thing about going to Harbor Creek is you always have something to wear for Halloween, too.
I have lots orange and black in my wardrobe.

They turned out really good.  My mom's friend Tracy came to help.
The basement floor was glitterfied.

We also played basketball and Sam insisted on being the coach.
He even got a whistle.
ANNOYING.

On Sunday I invited my friend over to make a skirt too.  She had to babysit and missed the party.

We made hair bows with the left over stuff.

Natalie and I went running this week.  We made Natalie a skirt too.

Mother Eloise took this good picture of us.

It's Sunday and I feel depressed like the weekend is over, but I just remembered I get ANOTHER DAY OFF!  Christopher Columbus is my new favorite dead person.

Bye.

Truth Be Told #22

Truth Be Told #22
Everything feels new.

I turned 13 today.
I'm a teenager.
Everything feels different.

New school.
New clothes.
New contact prescription.
New friends.

Same sister.

Same old brother.

Lots of new adventures ahead.

I got the best presents for my birthday!

My cousin Jack got me some Twinkies,
but all the boys at my party got into them anyway.
I have five left and I am hiding them.

Some gifts I have to look forward to.
Can't wait to see Zac Brown Band on Friday, December 13th with Mother Eloise and Natalie.

I also look forward to filling my Pandora bracelet.

The biggest surprise of all was from Grandma, Grandpa, and my parents.

But the biggest disaster waiting to happen is this:

Mother Eloise got an IPhone 5c, too!
Bad move.

I love it when numbers work out.
This was my 22nd post.
The 22nd is my birthday.
When I put my photos together, the only song I could choose is 22 by Taylor Swift.
Check out the photos from my birthday weekend.

You're right, Taylor Swift, I am feeling 22 , even though I'm only 13.

Truth Be Told 21

Truth Be Told #21
THEY LIE!!!

Tomorrow I go to seventh grade and my parents keep telling me I'm going to be fine.  I'm not fine.  This is the end of summer vacation and it didn't get nice until NOW!  Instead of enjoying nice weather I'll be sitting inside in stupid class missing it all. ALL BECAUSE I HAVE TO GO TO JUNIOR HIGH TOMORROW.

I was going to write a blog about the rest of the summer.  The Band Perry concert.  Jack going to camp with me.  My new bedroom.  But all I can think about is GOING TO JUNIOR HIGH TOMORROW and I can't remember anything else.  So here are some pictures.

My mind can't think.  Mom told me to go write something.  Maybe would help.  But all I can do is write run on sentences and my mom is friends with all my teachers and they are going to read this and then they will tell my junior high teachers I write run on sentences and they will fail me for writing run on sentences AND I WILL BE STUCK IN JUNIOR HIGH FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think comfort food would help.  That is supposed to be used for times like this.  So like right now I could really go for a Twinkie.  My mom, she joined this workout group and they think comfort food is wrong so I'm not allowed to have Twinkies.  But I bought a box with my own money because I could.  I went to eat one and Mom still said no even though I bought them with my own money.  Went I went to sneak one later when she was at her workout learning about evil comfort food, all I found was an empty Twinkie box.  MY LITTLE BROTHER ATE ALL OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  AND HE"S NOT THE ONE GOING TO SEVENTH GRADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mom said to go for a jog with her. That always makes her feel better.  We are going at soon.   If you see someone running at a roadrunner speed in the park behind my house don't be alarmed that is just me running off my anxiety because I HAVE TO GO TO SEVENTH GRADE TOMORROW.

My parents told me that the bus is coming at 7:22 am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I haven't seen 7:22 am all summer besides the times Mom gets me up for races.  I am now rethinking my habit of sleeping until 11:00 every day.  Maybe that wasn't such a good idea.  I think junior high school should start later.  Teens are tired.  10 would be good.

I'd write more but I have to go to bed in like five minutes because I have to get up so stupid early.  Good night.  Keep your fingers crossed I get my locker open and don't get lost.

Truth Be Told #20

Truth Be Told #20
It's Been a Whirlwind Summer

(Mother Eloise wants you to know that the blur is actually the roller coaster at the Cherry Festival zooming in front of the Ferris Wheel--cool).

Sometimes I use my Mom's pictures for this blog and sometimes I take a few of my own.  Mother Eloise has been letting me touch her camera a little bit now.  I'm the only one allowed to touch it besides her.

She left me a note on Sunday to take her good camera to the peninsula for the half marathon.  I got to take her picture for once.  This is Mom and Tracy almost to the finish line.  Mother Eloise is a spaz.

I got to take this one, too.

This guy finished ahead of Aunt Karen.  It was very inspirational.

Sam kept a look for Mom.  He kept giving us updates while he drank chocolate milk and ate a doughnut.

He also brought all this junk with him.  That is his teddy bear, his Skylander, and his monkey he named Jason.

I graduated from 6th Grade.  I'll be going to the Junior High in the fall.

My softball teams did pretty well.

I got a new bat after the season.
I decided I didn't like losing that much.

I went to the Zac Brown Band concert.  They were great.  Jump Right In was my favorite song.

We went to Darien Lake amusement park first.  Mother Eloise decided she was getting over HER fear of rides, so she made me go on the GIANT wheel, too.

I wasn't quite so sure about that, but I went.

Darien Lake did look really cool from up that high, though.

We have been to the cottage a lot.  I found lots of beach glass.

We go in the boat.  Sam isn't afraid this year.  Mom wouldn't let him be.
He was mostly mad about wearing the pink life jacket but he got over it.

I ran the Cherry Fest race with Aunt Jean.

I am just like Aunt Karen though because I puked in the chute at the end.

Tent City had a Mexican theme this year.
It was really fun.

My cousins Chris and Dan decided on the Mexican theme.
They are twins.

And as for Sam, he hasn't been toooooooooooo bad.
If anyone wants to invite him over to their house, I would really appreciate that.

Have a good summer.
Enjoy the video below with more pictures of fun.

The song is All Kinds of Kinds by Miranda Lambert.

It takes all kinds of people to make all kinds of fun.
