Truth Be Told #28

Truth Be Told #28
Even though it was cold, it was a red hot summer!

Today was the first day of school for Harbor Creek.
Natalie and Dad still get one more day,
they start tomorrow.

This year was a whole lot better than last year.
Remember this?
This was me a year ago, the night before I went to Junior High.

This was me the first day of school, last year in 7th grade.

Here is me this year, an 8th grader.
I wore green again and my hair is shorter,
but I am not nervous at all.
In fact, I'm happy!
My artwork got chosen for the Agenda Book cover this year.

Here is my summer, summarized.

Mother Eloise started out or summer with her stupid summer rules.

Grandma turned 69 and we ate doughnuts for breakfast on National Doughnut Day!

I celebrated my 10th year of dance and was in the dance show for Keri's Dance Studio.

Erik turned 17 and we ate at Ricardo's.  Erik likes steak!

Waldameer was a blast.

I got to play softball on the high school field.

I enjoyed a rain out every now and again.

Dan and Megs got married!

 We had lots of fun.

We saw lots of family.

I love babies!

We went to Disney as a big family!

Our one big moment and we get photo bombed by the nerd in the red hat.
Sam was frowning because Jack told him we were going to visit the princesses.

We had a blast although underwater selfies sucked,
but were fun to try to take anyway.

Camp was really fun!

I tried to read these books this summer.
I got through two of them, but couldn't finish the last one.
Mother Eloise taped a $20 to it and told me I could have it if I finished it,
but I couldn't even do it then.

The lake was really nice.
Not much seaweed this year at all.

It was pretty cold compared to past years.
We didn't even get to swim in many pools.
It just wasn't that hot of a summer.
Sam didn't mind though.

We got to see my Ohio relatives and go to a really, really expensive mall.
One coat that was not even that great was $4,800!

I spent a lot of time with my brother.

He loves my phone.

I taught him how to Snap Chat.

Big mistake.

I watched my sister pound nails all summer.
She made way more art projects than me!

Our second camp trip was much calmer and back to nature.

It was hard to say goodbye to summer.

My all time favorite thing of the summer was zip lining and the aerial ropes course at the Peak.
We went for Jack's birthday.
He turns 15 on Thursday.

I LOVED IT!
I had to help Aunt Karen who was scared of heights through it.
She got over her fears though and I am so proud of her!

Looks like I'll be zipping right into another school year.
I hope it's a good one for everyone!

Talk to you soon,
Ellen Louise
