Truth Be Told #11

Truth Be Told #11
Holiday Happenings at the Lamp Post

Hello, Readers.   It's almost Christmas.
Sorry for the delay.  I took a week off of writing because we were sad at the Lamp Post last weekend.  We're still sad, but Mom says it is a good thing to keep on writing.  Here is some holiday cheer.

I get to say goodbye to my braces in a week.  I can't wait!

Em and  I had our dance show.  It was fun.

We had a Pinterest party.  Tracy made pillows out of t-shirts.

We made Rockin' Rudolph and reinbeer.

Amy braided my hair all pinteresty.

Good news of the week:  Girls like Sam.
Emilee does.

And so does Delaney.
Both of those pictures came home in his book bag last week.

Natalie was happy because she gets to cheer again this year.  She cheered yesterday.

The Huskies won.

Annoying thing of the week:
Mother Eloise is not good with electronics.  Somehow while trying to change the song on the CD, she changed the language on the dashboard.  We think it's French.

The family Christmas party was last night.

Santa comes and Natalie is never too old to sit on his lap.

Sam is so excited this year.  He has been sooooooo good.  Sam loves Santa.

Santa brought him what he wanted.  A Brawlin' Buddy--Shamus.
I dare anyone to call it a doll.

It snowed and we got to sled ride on Amy's hill.  She lives next door to the Lamp Post.

Somehow Sam convinced Mr. Burns and Chris to make him a ramp.  That kid could convince anyone to do anything.   He's hard to say no to.

He even got Mr. Burns to go down the hill on the sled.

This is the Christmas tree in the Lamp Post.  All of those presents are for other people.  We have lots of friends and family.

I can't wait to give everyone their presents.  Mother Eloise gave us one present early.  We got the game Monopoly and we are going to go play it now.  Sam gets to be the Banker.  He probably won't give me any money.

Have a nice holiday.
Check back in a couple of days.  I'll put what I got on here.

Truth Be Told #10

This weekend was a JOY!

It's almost Christmas but the weather doesn't feel like it.  We don't even have snow yet.

This was my yard the other morning.  It was so warm after school Em and I practiced volleyball and Sam rode his bike.  We usually are shoveling snow by now.

Rudolph was on this week, so you can be sure that Christmas is coming.

Sam had a friend over on Saturday.

We made the mistake of letting them lick the bowl from the Christmas cookie dough.

At least this was better than the last time he had a friend over.  Mom told them to go outside and play and in ten minutes time this is what happened.

Sam's friend's mom came before we had time to clean them up.  Mother Eloise was frantic.

Sam's friend's mom said "Mud equals fun" and that it was okay.  I guess everyone needs to find some sort of joy on the weekend.

Natalie likes to hang out with me on weekends.  We do nails.  We went to see the Harbor Creek High School Christmas play.  We liked that.

The big event of the weekend was Sam's first wrestling tournament.

We were nervous, so we had to recruit some helpers.

Tracy is Sam's Godmother and she and Jarett came all the way out to Cambridge Springs and surprised us.  Tracy calmed me and mom down and explained wrestling to us.  It's confusing!

Sam won his first two matches and lost the third one.  He did great!  He got this trophy.
He was a good winner and a good loser.

He got this cool trophy and we got to go out to eat afterwards.

We were all happy and it got us in the Christmas spirit.

Here is a little more joy for you to start off your week.
